Anvay Dravid Performance for India U19: Rahul Dravid has been seen many times as Team India’s troubleshooter and its wall on the cricket field. His example is also given regarding this. But, now his younger son Anvay has also followed his path. At least, this is what it seems after looking at Anvay Dravid’s innings in the match against Sri Lanka Under-19 on 6th July. In this match, Anvay Dravid has played the biggest innings of his Under-19 career and played at a difficult time when the team needed him the most.

In the second ODI match against Sri Lanka Under 19 team, India Under 19 team came to bat first at Hambantota ground. But his move of winning the toss and batting first seemed to backfire when his top 4 batsmen returned to the pavilion long before 100 runs were put on the score board. In such a situation, Anvay Dravid, who came to bat in the middle order, not only kept the score board running by playing a fast innings but also made a century partnership with Arjun Rajput for the 5th wicket.
Made a partnership of 145 runs for the 5th wicket
Anvay Dravid made a partnership of 145 runs for the 5th wicket with Arjun Rajput, due to which the India Under 19 team managed to reach 226 runs for 5 wickets from 81 runs for 4 wickets. This partnership ended when Arjun Rajput was run out after scoring 76 runs.
Anvay Dravid played the biggest innings of his U19 career
It was during the partnership with Arjun Rajput that Anvay Dravid scored the first half-century of his Under-19 career. He completed his first under-19 fifty in just 47 balls, which included 4 fours and 1 six. However, Anvay could not convert his half-century into a century. He was out after scoring 87 runs in 67 balls. This was the biggest innings of his Under 19 career.
Left a big signal by playing the biggest innings of U19 career
Anvay Dravid’s inning continued even after completion of fifty. With his powerful innings played in difficult times, he left a clear indication that like his father, he too has the potential to become the team’s shield. Anvay Dravid’s debut in Under-19 ODI took place during the Sri Lanka tour. In the first match played on this tour, he could score only 14 runs.
