Inder Kaur, also known as Yashinder Kaur, a well-known Punjabi singer, dies. As per the reports, the singer was found dead six days after her alleged kidnapping. The reports suggest that she was abducted at gunpoint. She was 29 years old at the time of her demise. However, her death turns suspicious as her dead body was found in the Neelo Canal in the early hours of Tuesday (May 19).
Further, a police complaint was filed by Inder’s brother, Jotinder Singh. And it turns out that Inder stepped out of her house in a Ford Figo car at 8:30 PM on May 13 to buy groceries, but after that, she never returned. After she went missing, the family suspected Sukhwinder Sing, who is the resident of Bhaloor village in Moga, who has been chasing Inder obsessively and pressuring her to marry him.
Inder and Sukhwinder knew each other through Instagram as the singer connected to him through social media three years ago, and soon they became friends. However, upon learning about Sukhwinder’s marriage and children, Inder cut off from him and rejected his marriage proposal, and this led to rage for Inder in Sukhwinder’s mind.
As per the police, Sukhwinder reportedly traveled from Canada to Punjab via Nepal just to carry out the killing. And on May 13, with his accomplices, he allegedly kidnapped Inder at gunpoint and murdered her before dumping her body into the Neelo Canal. And soon after the murder, he flew back to Canada via the same route.
The victim’s family revealed they filed the missing persons complaint as early as May 15, but they feel a lack of effort from the authorities led to this incident. In contrast, Jamalpur police stated that a case has been filed and efforts are being made to catch and arrest the fleeing.
