On one hand, the excitement of IPL 2026 season is at its peak in India and cricket fans all over the world are watching it with enthusiasm and impatience. The action of Pakistan Super League 2026 (PSL 2026) is also going on in the neighbourhood. This season of Pakistani League has been in the news more due to controversies than sports. But now some powerful performances are also being seen here. After Babar Azam’s powerful century, now a player has scored an explosive century, who was banned for 2 matches by the Pakistani Board (PCB). Name is Fakhar Zaman.
In the 30th match of PSL 2026, there was a clash between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators. In this match, Lahore batted first and the star of its innings was veteran opener Fakhar Zaman. While the rest of Lahore’s batsmen struggled to score runs at a fast pace, left-handed batsman Fakhar thrashed Quetta’s bowlers badly and completed his century.
Fakhar’s third century in PSL
Fakhar scored a half-century in 27 balls in this innings and then reached a century in the next 23 balls. Fakhar completed his century by hitting a six in the 15th over of the innings. He completed this spectacular century in just 50 balls. This was his third century in the PSL and he became the fifth batsman to reach this mark. Just 3 days before his feat, Babar Azam had also scored his third century in PSL. But Fakhar hit more sixes and fours in his innings. There were 11 fours and 6 sixes i.e. a total of 17 boundaries from his bat.

PCB had imposed a ban of 2 matches
When Fakhar was out on the first ball of the 17th over, he had scored 103 runs in 51 balls. The team’s score at that time was only 164 runs. This is enough to tell that apart from Fakhar, other batsmen could not do anything special for Lahore. This century was very special for the star opener because just a few days ago PCB had also banned him. In fact, at the beginning of the season, Fakhar Zaman was caught ball tampering during a match, due to which the PCB banned him for 2 matches.
