Apart from sports, players are also prominent in Pakistan Super League for other reasons too. Players of Hyderabad Kingsmen, the new team of this league, visited an indoor shooting range in Sindh province of Pakistan where Australian players fired machine guns and pistols. Hyderabad Kingsmen captain and Australian cricketer Marnus Labuschagne was seen with a submachine gun, while another foreign star, Riley Meredith was seen with a pistol. Both these players fired guns in the shooting range.
Australian players shot in Pakistan
Ahead of their next match against Rawalpindies, the foreign stars were seen taking part in an exhibition tour of the Sindh Police SSU Academy in Pakistan. Marnus Labuschagne and Riley Meredith opened fire at this academy. Pictures are viral on social media in which these players are seen clicking photos with Pakistani Army officers. Hyderabad Kingsmen captain Marnus Labuschagne presented a special bat containing autographs of Hyderabad Kingsmen players to Sindh Police Security and Emergency Services Division DIG Dr Maqsood Ahmed.
Information about rocket launcher given to players
A session was also organized for the players of Hyderabad Kingsmen in which they were given information about weapons like light machine gun, rocket launcher. Such meetings often take place between players and the army in Pakistan. Earlier in the year 2024, cricketers had trained with the army for better physical and mental development. Cricketers like Fakhar Zaman, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Rizwan have also taken shooting training from the Pakistani Army.
Hyderabad Kingsman performance
Hyderabad Kingsmen’s performance under the captaincy of Marnus Labuschagne has not been good. This team has won only 2 out of 6 matches. They got this victory against Islamabad United and Karachi Kings. With their next match against Rawalpindies, the Kingsmen still have a slight chance of making the playoffs, but their fate also depends on the results of Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings, who are just above them on the points table.
