The actress further admitted that she has been a fan of Dharna, and cannot wait to see what she will ‘unleash’ on others in the future. Priyanka also praised director Suresh Triveni for his beautiful vision about Maa Behen. On a concluding note, she congratulated the entire team of the Netflix film.

Written by Suresh and Pooja Tolani, Maa Behen follows the story of an independent woman and her two daughters who unite to cover up a neighbour’s accidental death. In this black comedy thriller, Madhuri, Triptii and Dharna essay the characters of Rekha, Jaya and Sushma. Apart from the three actresses, the star cast includes Geetanjali Kulkarni, Arunoday Singh, Ravi Kishan, Jatin Sarna, and others.

Earlier, in an interview with Firstpost, Madhuri Dixit said that her character in Maa Behen is quirky and someone who breaks every mold of motherhood. “Usually in movies a mother is generally placed on a pedestal and she is sacrificing,” she said. However, in this film, a mother breaks all the rules and has a dysfunctional family, which includes her two daughters.

The actress added mothers are humans too. Talking about her accent in the film, Madhuri shared, “Yes, we did concentrate on the accent, but it was not like the crux of the film.”
