Addressing the gathering at the ceremony of conferring honorary doctorates in Bucharest, Romania, President Murmu expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Rector, the Senate and the University community. Dedicating this honor to his country, he said, “On behalf of 1.4 billion Indians, I humbly… [इस सम्मान को] which is a reflection of the enduring friendship between the people of India and Romania.”

Told education as the biggest strength

Recalling his personal journey, President Murmu described education as the most transformative force in his life. Emphasis on India-Romania partnership

The President highlighted that the partnership between India and Romania is built on mutual respect, trust and shared democratic values, with academic cooperation as one of its strongest pillars. Recognizing that Romanian institutions have long welcomed Indian students in medicine, engineering and technology, he urged universities in both countries to deepen institutional ties through faculty and student exchange programs as well as joint research projects.

Addressing global technological change, he urged educational institutions to maintain a strong ethical compass.
