BJP President Nitin Naveen, starting his three-day tour of Uttarakhand on Thursday, has started work at the grassroots level to speed up the party’s preparations for the assembly elections to be held in seven states next year.
During his stay in Uttarakhand, Naveen will hold several meetings with BJP leaders and workers and seek their feedback on the party’s election preparations in the state.
According to sources, the BJP president will meet Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami during his visit and will also hold a meeting with state ministers to discuss election preparations and seek feedback.
In this regard, a party source told PTI, “The BJP national president’s visit to Uttarakhand is the beginning of this. He will visit all the states one by one, where elections are to be held next year.” “He will stay in each of these states for about three days and hold meetings with party workers and leaders, including MLAs, and seek their feedback. This trend will continue now,” the source said.
Next year, assembly elections are to be held in Goa, Gujarat, Manipur, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. BJP is in power in all the states except Punjab. Sources said that Naveen has already started BJP’s election preparations so that when the time of elections comes, the party is ‘fully prepared’.
