In his statement released on social media, he admitted that he could have stopped the objectionable comments made by audience member Himanshu Jangra during the show, but due to the atmosphere and the reaction of the people, he made a mistake. The comedian not only admitted his mistake but also publicly apologized. He said that he is fully cooperating in the legal process and is seeing this entire controversy as a lesson for himself.
‘I deserve the hate I’m getting’
Praneet More said in the video shared on social media that he understands the criticism and resentment he is receiving. He admitted that he could have handled the situation better in the conversation during the show. He said,
You all must have seen my crowd work video, for which I am getting a lot of hate and I think I deserve this hate too. Because when I was doing crowd work, he said very objectionable things to that boy, but everyone was laughing at him. I also got carried away and made a mistake in judgement.
Praneet More said- I could have stopped him, but did not do so
The comedian candidly admitted that he could have intervened at the scene and stopped the inappropriate comments from going ahead. He said that he should have taken a clear stand at that time, but it did not happen. He admitted that unknowingly he gave both the platform and attention to that person, which was his biggest mistake.
