The video of hooliganism of a village head in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh is going viral on social media. In this video, the village head of Kharihani village is badly beating a woman. It is alleged that the woman was protesting against the extraction of chakrod in her field. Angered by this, Pradhan publicly washed the woman in the presence of police and revenue department officials. After the video went viral, the police registered a case against the village head and others under various sections including assault and started investigating the matter.
According to the information, land was being measured for construction of Chakroad in Kharihani village of Kursi police station area. Meanwhile, a woman reached the spot with her husband and started obstructing the measurement. The woman alleged that village head Udayraj Singh deliberately wanted to remove the chakrod from the middle of her field. Since there was already a possibility of protest during this time, police force was also deployed to maintain peace on the spot.

Now as soon as the woman started protesting, the village head also got angry and started dragging the woman and beating her in front of the police. As soon as this video of woman’s beating was seen, it started going viral on social media. After this, the police came into action and started investigating the case by registering a case against 6 people including village head Udairaj Singh under various sections including assault. Police said that the area officer himself is investigating this matter.

Police said that the victim woman Sona has given a complaint to the police. On the other hand, people are raising questions on social media as to what she was doing at the time of the incident. It is clearly visible in the video that the police is watching the drama as a mute spectator. Barabanki Police Additional Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Mishra has said that the matter is being investigated seriously.
