The effect of smog was seen in the atmosphere on Monday morning and afternoon. Although its layer was not yet thick, the level of visibility was affected. The situation is similar on Tuesday also. Meteorologists say that due to decreasing wind speed and increasing effect of cold, light smog has started forming. Similar conditions will prevail here for the next two-three days.

From November 6 to 10, the minimum temperature can be 16 to 17 degrees and the maximum temperature can be 32 to 33 degrees. Smog may persist till November 8. According to Skymet, there is a lot of difference in temperature in different parts of the capital.

Talking about AQI, the overall air quality index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded at 382 on Tuesday, which falls in the ‘very poor’ category. This is the worst level of air quality in the country. 424 in Anand Vihar, 372 in Mundka, 402 in Wazirpur, 398 in Jahangirpuri, 312 in RK Puram, 310 in Okhla, 349 in Bawana, 310 in Vivek Vihar, 389 in Narela, 310 in Ashok Vihar, 401 in Dwarka, Sonia Vihar. 405 AQI has been recorded in Punjabi Bagh and 411 in Rohini. 302 AQI has been recorded in Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh adjacent to Delhi, 313 in Noida, 309 in Ghaziabad, 303 in Greater Noida, 321 in Sonipat of Haryana and 319 in Gurugram.

Weather conditions from north to south

Talking about hilly states, cold will increase in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu Kashmir from this week. According to IMD, it will be colder in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh from this week. In the plains of Punjab and Haryana, mild cold will start after November 15. There is a possibility of onset of winter in Bihar and Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh after 15 to 20 November. This means that winter will come a little late in these states.

It will be hot during the day in Maharashtra this week, but there will be some relief at night. There will be a difference of 12 to 13 degrees Celsius between day and night temperatures. At the same time, RMC has issued yellow alert for 19 districts of Tamil Nadu. There is a possibility of heavy rain in the next two days. Due to the cyclonic system and upper air circulation over the sea, heavy rains are expected in these districts.
