Modi government’s free electricity scheme through solar panels has been approved. Under PM Surya Ghar Yojana, the government will provide free electricity to 1 crore houses. The government is going to spend about Rs 75 thousand crores for this. With this scheme, 1 crore families will get 300 units free. Besides, people will also earn an annual income of Rs 15,000 after 300 units.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur has said that the PM Suryodaya Yojana has been approved in the cabinet meeting led by PM Narendra Modi. PM had started this scheme on 13 February this year. This will increase India’s contribution in the field of renewable energy.
