Hotel occupancy between 70-80%
According to local hotelier Chaman Kapoor, at present the occupancy of hotels in Manali has reached 70% to 80%. It is expected to increase further in the peak season of May and June. The hotel industry is benefiting greatly from the continuously increasing number of tourists.
Weather and snow became the center of attraction
This year, the pleasant weather of Manali and the remaining snow on the mountains are attracting tourists a lot. Cool breeze and natural beauty are giving people relief from the heat of cities. Special offers and packages are also being given by hotels, due to which the interest of tourists is increasing.
Demand to open Rohtang Pass intensifies
Businessmen have also raised the demand for reopening of Rohtang Pass. He says that this is a major tourist destination of Manali. Earlier it was closed due to pollution, but after the construction of Atal Tunnel, the traffic pressure has reduced, due to which it can be opened again.
Tourists praised it a lot
Manish Joshi, a tourist from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, said that visiting Manali in May was a great experience for him. They enjoyed the snowfall and light rain. Sheena, who came from Chandigarh, enjoyed activities like paragliding and zip-lining.
Adventure and local food attractions
Tourists are also enjoying adventure sports like river crossing, bike riding and paragliding here. Besides, people are also liking traditional Himachali dishes like Siddu.
