New Delhi: The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2024 witnessed two action-packed encounters on Monday as Telugu Titans ran riot to thrash table-toppers Haryana Steelers in a lop-sided game before U Mumba clinched a thriller against Bengaluru Bulls.
Despite being without star raider Pawan Sehrawat, the Titans stunned the Steelers 49-27 in match no.61 at the Noida Indoor Stadium in Noida.
Table-toppers Haryana Steelers started as the favourites in their clash against the Telugu Titans in the absence of star raider Sehrawat. However, Vijay Malik combined with raider Ashish Narwal to ensure the Titans didn’t miss Sehrawat at all as they scored 19 points between them to power their side to a thumping victory against the in-form Steelers.
Narwal completed a ‘Super 10’ and finished with 11 points while Malik, who captained the Titans in the game, secured 8 points. The likes of Shankar Gadai (5) and Sagar Sethpal (5) also made valuable contributions to help the Telugu Titans produce one of their best performances of the season and stun the Haryana Steelers.
With their win, the Telugu Titans jumped to the 7th spot on the PKL 2024 points table having won six and lost 4 out of their 10 matches so far this season. The Titans have 32 points from 10 matches. Meanwhile, the Haryana Steelers remain in the top spot with 41 points after 8 wins and three losses from 11 matches this season.

U Mumba climb to 2nd spot on PKL 11 points table
U Mumba jumped to the second spot on the PKL 2024 points table after their close 38-37 win against Bengaluru Bulls in match no.62 at the Noida Indoor Stadium in Noida on Sunday. Raiders Ajit Chouhan and Manjeet shone for U Mumba while their defence remained on top of their game to help their team edge out Bengaluru Bulls despite a ‘Super 10’ from star raider Pardeep Narwal.
Both Pardeep Narwal and Ajit Chouhan made brilliant starts to the game and scored quick raid points to ensure the game got off to a rollicking start. There was not much to separate the two teams at halftime but Manjeet scored 5 points to help U Mumba finish with a slender lead at 21-20.
In the second half, both teams once again gave their all on the mat and fought incredibly hard. As Manjeet grew in confidence, he completed a Super Raid to give U Mumba a three-point lead before Pardeep completed his Super 10 to bring the Bulls back into the contest. However, U Mumba eventually held their nerves to secure a 38-37 win.
