A petition has been filed against the army demanding action against the North Indians who do not speak Marathi language in Maharashtra in many cases related to alleged disgusting speeches, targeted violence and threats.

Complaint in court through petition

The petition filed through Advocate Shriram Parakkat has accused Sunil Shukla and other Hindi speaking people of hateful speech. Also, apart from registering an FIR against Raj Thackeray, the Election Commission has been demanded to give instructions to cancel the recognition of MNS.

According to the petition filed in the Supreme Court, in the last few months, Sunil Shukla faced many serious threats and harassment as well as physical threats in Maharashtra due to his political identity and advocacy of North Indian rights. The petitioner also alleges that now these threats have also increased publicly for violence and physical attacks.

The petition also mentions a speech given by Raj Thackeray during the Gudi Padwa rally on March 30 last month, allegedly accused of inciting violence to work in government jobs like malls and banks due to alleged not speaking Marathi language.

The petition claimed that the speech was broadcast on TV, after which there were attacks in Mumbai, including incidents in Powai and D-Mart, Versova, many employees were attacked due to speaking Hindi here. The petitioner argues that these tasks violate the provisions of Section 153A, 295A, 504, 506 and 120B of IPC and Section 125 of the Representation of Public Representation Act, 1951, which also promote enmity on the basis of language and field.

If you do not speak language, you will kill ‘slap’: Raj Thackeray

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) leader Sanjay Raut has criticized the decision of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray for using Marathi language in banks and other institutions. He also said that it is useless to target the lower level employees regarding Marathi.

MNS chief Raj Thackeray had reiterated his party’s stance to make Marathi language mandatory for official work at his Gudi Padwa rally on 30 March. At the same time, he also warned that those who do not deliberately speak language will be slapped.
