Peddi: Why Did Ram Charan BLAME Director Buchi Babu Sana For His Injury On Set? – Watch

The Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer  is all set to hit the screens on June 4, 2026. The makers released the trailer of the much-awaited action sports drama at a grand launch event in Mumbai on Monday (May 18). After launching the trailer, the team, including  and  , had a fun interaction with the media. Ram opened up about his serious injury on the sets of Peddi and held director Buchi Babu Sana responsible for the same. It has to be noted that Ram was not seriously accusing him but jokingly blamed the filmmaker for it.

Ram Charan Blames Peddi Director For His Injury

 

During a media interaction at the Peddi trailer launch, Ram Charan revealed that the film was emotionally and physically demanding for him. While speaking at the event, the RRR star said he has been living with Peddi for the last two years. He revealed that Buchi Babu Sana worked on the film for the last five years. Ram called AR Rahman the ‘centre pillar’ of the film and thanked him for coming on board.

While speaking about his injury during the shoot of Peddi, Ram Charan jokingly blamed Buchi Babu Sana for it. He said, “I have a ligament tear in my hand because of Buchi Babu. Instead of trained artistes, he brought real wrestlers, and I got injured. But it remains a beautiful memory.”

Why Did Ram Charan Call Janhvi Kapoor ‘Chhupa Rustam’?

 

Ram Charan praised his Peddi co-star Janhvi Kapoor at the event and said that she is a ‘chuppa rustam’. While praising her, the actor said that the Dhadak actress performed 100 times better than him in a song which came in at the last minute.

At the same event, Ram Charan also thanked Salman Khan and Aamir Khan for doing sports dramas in Indian cinema. According to him, films like Sultan and Dangal gave the Peddi team confidence to attempt something like his next. It looks like Ram is very confident about his next, Peddi.
