Peddi Trailer Out: Ram Charan Unleashes BEAST Mode, Janhvi Kapoor Adds Desi Tadka

Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Peddi is one of the exciting film releases of June 2026. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports drama has been produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru and Ishan Saksena under Vriddhi Cinemas and IVY Entertainment. After sharing a few glimpses of the film, the makers of   have released its official trailer online. A grand launch event was held in Mumbai. Ram and Janhvi were present along with director Buchi and their co-stars Divyenndu and Boman Irani. AR Rahman and producer Venkata marked their presence too.

A while ago, the makers of Ram and unveiled the film trailer on YouTube. Ram Charan, showcasing a remarkable physical transformation, embodies a versatile athlete excelling in cricket, wrestling, and track and field. The story, shaped by Buchi Babu, follows his quest to win national glory for his village and bring recognition to his community. Take a look at Peddi trailer:

 

Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu Sharma all deliver stellar performances, standing out in this spectacular cinematic world.

A day before the trailer was released, producer Naga Vamsi shared his review of Peddi trailer. Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle, the producer mentioned that the Ram Charan-starrer is going to hit straight out of the park. He further compared to Ram to Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. “Everyone has seen Virat Kohli play cricket… now just imagine how it would be if Kohli played wrestling too. That’s exactly how it feels,” he wrote.

Vamsi further mentioned that Janhvi looks ‘ravishing’ and asked audiences to wait for the crossover shot towards the end. “PURE MASS CINEMA,” he added.

Why Peddi director rejected Khushi Kapoor?

Meanwhile, in an interview with M9, filmmaker Buchi Babu Sana revealed that he first narrated the film to Khushi Kapoor, younger sister of Janhvi. But when he saw her in person, the director realised Khushi was too young for the character of Achiyamma. He felt bad about rejecting the actress and even asked Janhvi if she would take offence.

He recalled telling Khushi that he didn’t want her but Janhvi in Peddi. “From the beginning, I just knew this role would suit Janhvi. Even as I narrated it to others, I would imagine her in the role,” he mentioned. Apart from the lead star cast, Peddi features Divyenndu, Boman Irani, Shiva Rajkumar and Jagapathi Babu in key roles. AR Rahman has composed the soundtrack for this movie. It is reportedly mounted on a budget of Rs 350 crore.
