PCB announced central contract, huge loss to Shaheen Afridi who was dropped from the team, Babar was saved

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the central contract for the 2024-25 international cricket season. This time PCB has given central contracts to a total of 25 players. Five players have been included in this list for the first time. At the same time, star fast bowler Shaheen Afridi, who was recently dropped from the Test team, has suffered a big blow. Shaheen has faced huge loss in the new central contract. At the same time, former Pakistan captain Babar Azam has been successful in maintaining his category.

Shaheen Afridi gets shock in new central contract

This time Pakistan Cricket Board has given place to only 2 players in A category. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are included in this category. Both these players were in the same category earlier also. At the same time, Shaheen Afridi has now been kept in B category instead of A category. That means he has been demoted in the new central contract. Apart from this, Naseem Shah and Shan Masood have also got a place in B category. Let us tell you, Shan Masood was earlier in D category.

These players got a chance for the first time

Pakistan Cricket Board has given central contracts to 5 new players. These 5 players are Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Irfan Khan and Usman Khan. At the same time, Fakhar Zaman, Safraz Ahmed, Iftikhar Ahmed and Imam ul Haq have been shown the way out of the central contract. On the other hand, the spin pair of Sajid Khan and Noman Ali has been placed in C category along with Saud Shakeel, who was earlier in D category.

C Category: Abdullah Shafiq, Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf, Noman Ali, Saim Ayub, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Aga, Saud Shakeel and Shadab Khan.

D Category: Aamir Jamal, Hasibullah, Kamran Ghulam, Khurram Shahzad, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Huraira, Mohammad Irfan Khan, Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Usman Khan.
