The Supreme Court has refused to extend the transit anticipatory bail of Pawan Kheda.
Congress leader Pawan Kheda has received a big blow from the Supreme Court. The court has refused to grant him transit anticipatory bail till Tuesday. Pawan Khera’s demand was that his bail should be extended till Tuesday so that he can file a petition in the Assam court. The Congress leader had argued that the Assam court was closed, hence the bail should be increased. However, the Supreme Court has said that when the lower court hears this case, it will take the decision on its own basis without being influenced by any comment of the Supreme Court.
Pawan Kheda had made allegations against Rinki Bhuyan, wife of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, during a press conference in Guwahati. Kheda had said that the Chief Minister’s wife has several passports and properties abroad, information about which has not been given by the Chief Minister in the election affidavit.
