Anna Konidala, the wife of actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, has appealed to the public to address her by her legal name instead of her maiden surname.
In a heartfelt Instagram post shared ahead of her birthday, she explained that although many people continue to call her Anna Lezhneva, she officially adopted the Konidala surname after marrying Pawan Kalyan in 2013.
Along with the note, Anna posted a throwback photograph from the couple’s first visit together to Saint Petersburg, Russia.
She said the marriage certificate was the final official document that carried her maiden surname, after which all her legal records reflected her new name.
Describing the decision as deeply personal, Anna said she now wishes to be identified as Anna Konidala, the name she has legally carried for more than a decade.
