A shocking incident of roadside robbery in Punjab’s Pathankot turned more dramatic when the victim fought back the robbers. Two bike-riding robbers had snatched away his mobile phone and cash from a person, but later the same person showed courage and threw the robbers off the bike by hitting them with a brick. This entire incident was captured in CCTV camera and now its viral video is viral on social media.
According to the police and the victim’s statement, the incident occurred when he was returning home from his shop. Two accused stopped him on the way and tried to flee from the spot after committing the robbery.

Robbers snatched cash and mobile
The victim told the police that two people came on a motorcycle and suddenly blocked his path. The accused took away the keys of his bike so that he could not run away. According to an India Today report, the victim claimed that the robbers took out the mobile phone and Rs 5,000 from his pocket and fled from there. After the robbery, the victim started walking towards his aunt’s house nearby.
The victim recognized the accused and retaliated
According to the victim, the same two men approached him again while he was walking on the road. This time he recognized the accused and decided to confront them. The man picked up a brick lying nearby and threw it towards the motorcycle from a distance. The brick allegedly hit the accused, causing one to lose his balance and fall from the bike. Soon after, a scuffle broke out between the victim and the two accused in the middle of the road.
The accused threatened with sharp weapons
During the assault, the accused allegedly took out a datar (a sharp weapon used in Punjab) and tried to scare the victim. The victim again threw the brick at the accused and injured them. However, despite being injured, the robbers managed to flee the spot while threatening them with weapons. This entire incident was recorded in nearby CCTV cameras. This footage later surfaced online and spread rapidly on social media platforms.
Police started investigation
Police officials said that based on the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered against both the accused. The authorities have started investigation and are trying to identify and arrest the robbers. Police have assured that the accused will be caught soon. Officials are also examining CCTV footage to trace the movements of the suspects and collect more evidence in the case.
