Parliament Monsoon Session: The second day of the third week of the ongoing monsoon session of the parliament is likely to witness a heavy ruckus.
The opposition MPs of both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are likely to stage a massive protest at the Makar Dwar, demanding an answer from Home Minister Amit Shah over the alleged use of excessive force against the protesting students on July 20.
Heavy Ruckus Expected
In a protest around 10.30 am, along with seeking accountability from the home minister, the opposition is also expected to raise the issue of alleged theft in the donation to Ram Mandir. Earlier on Friday, the opposition MPs staged a “nukkar natak” to demonstrate the theft in the donations, leading to a massive controversy.
Amid the ongoing ruckus, the government has also reportedly made necessary preparations to counter the opposition’s attacks. The reports suggest that the centre is determined to proceed with its legislative work and keep both the houses in order despite the uproar.
Centre Focuses On Key Bills
As per the reports, a strategy is underway to ensure the passage of key bills and prioritize financial matters during the session. However, the centre has accused the opposition of deliberately delaying the proceedings despite a detailed discussion on the paper leak.
The ruling party is holding the NDA’s weekly meeting in the Parliament Library Building to determine its future strategy. The reports suggest that the meeting will focus on addressing opposition protests and ensuring smooth functioning of the house.
The opposition, following the resignation of then education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, has persisted on the demands of seeking an answer from the home minister. However, the centre has stated that necessary amendments have been made in the anti-paper leak bill, adding that the opposition has been creating a ruckus despite the detailed discussion.
