Actress Parineeti Chopra has vocally defended her co-star Jennifer Winget, labeling her as her ‘favourite girl’ and criticizing ‘self-proclaimed journalists’ for ‘manufacturing controversies’ to gain attention.
This comes after a video from the success party of their film ‘Shaque: Trust No One’ went viral, showing Jennifer behind Parineeti during a cake-cutting event.
Social media users had commented on Parineeti not creating enough space for Jennifer, sparking a debate. Responding to the online chatter, Parineeti took to Instagram stories, revealing that she and Jennifer had been ‘hysterically’ laughing at the ‘wild interpretations’ by these so-called journalists. She asserted that such interpretations only make the creators look foolish.
Parineeti further praised Jennifer’s acting prowess, calling her a brilliant actor and her favourite in ‘Shaque’. She challenged those creating controversies for fame to pursue more meaningful endeavors. Jennifer Winget also addressed the situation, clarifying on her Instagram story that she simply stepped back due to lack of space and urged for kindness instead of negativity. She emphasized the strong bond between her and Parineeti, stating, “Pari has always been kind and loving towards me, and we have nothing but love for each other. We’re a team, and there’s enough room for all of us to shine without pulling each other down.”
