Bhumi Pednekar Seeks Blessings at Ujjain’s Mahakal Temple Before Diwali

Actress Bhumi Pednekar visited the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Ujjain to offer prayers, just ahead of the Diwali festivities. The 37-year-old actress shared glimpses of her spiritual journey on social media, expressing her devotion by writing, “Just surrender Jai Shri Mahakaal.

Happy Diwali.”

The Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, is revered as one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas, considered the most significant abodes of Lord Shiva. Situated on the banks of the Shipra River, the temple’s presiding deity, Shiva in lingam form, is believed to be Swayambhu, meaning self-manifested, drawing immense spiritual power from within itself.

On the professional front, Bhumi Pednekar is set to portray Belawadi Mallamma in the upcoming historical epic, ‘The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’. She will star alongside Rishab Shetty, Arjun Rampal, and Vivek Oberoi in this film, which is directed and produced by Sandeep Singh. The movie is envisioned as a two-part saga, with a screenplay by Rishi Virmani, music by Amit Trivedi, and lyrics by National Award winner Prasoon Joshi. Filmmaker Sandeep Singh has reportedly enlisted an acclaimed international action team, including Mark Henson, known for his work on ‘Game of Thrones’, to craft the film’s battle sequences.
