Parama Ekadashi 2026: Adhikamas is called the month of Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu has given his name (Purushottam) to this month, hence it is also called Purushottam month. This month is also called Malmas. This month comes every three years and during this time the number of Ekadashi fasts increases from 24 to 26. The fast of Ekadashi is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. On this day, along with fasting, Shri Hari is worshiped ritually.
Padmini and Parma Ekadashi fall in Adhikamas. Parma Ekadashi is considered very special. In the Puranas, Parma Ekadashi is considered to bestow rare achievements. By worshiping Lord Shri Hari on this day, poverty is removed and one gets a place in Vaikuntha Dham. This year the fast of Parma Ekadashi will be observed on 11th June. - According to the Panchang, the Ekadashi date of Krishna Paksha of Jyeshtha Adhikamas will start from 12:58 am on Wednesday, June 10.
- This date will end on Thursday, June 11 at 10:37 pm.
In such a situation, the fast of Parma Ekadashi will be observed on 11 June 2026. Parma Ekadashi fast will be broken the next day on 12th June. The auspicious time for this will be from 05:23 am to 08:10 am.
Parama Ekadashi Puja Vidhi
On the day of Parma Ekadashi, wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean clothes. After this, take a pledge to fast in front of Lord Vishnu. Bathe Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi with Panchamrit. Then offer yellow flowers, incense, lamp and naivedya to saffron. Be sure to include Tulsi in the puja. Recite Parma Ekadashi Vrat Katha during the puja. Chant the mantras of Lord Vishnu. Finally conclude the puja with Aarti.
