Mumbai: A Pakistani woman traveling from London to Nepal has shared her 10-hour layover experience at Mumbai airport in a video, which has now gone viral. This woman named Wanzipa told how she had a memorable and wonderful experience at the airport, while there are talks of tension between the two countries. She told that she was very tired due to the long journey, but she got a chance to rest and eat good food in the airport lounge, which removed all her fatigue.
‘There was fear in my mind, but…’
Wanzipa told in her video post that Pakistani citizens cannot come to India directly, but they got a chance to stay in India while going from London to Nepal. He shared his video on social media with the caption ‘In India, 10 hours like a Pakistani’. In the video, she tells that the connection point of her flight from London to Nepal was Mumbai. He admitted that initially he was a little nervous because he had a Pakistani passport. But then they learned that as long as passengers don’t leave the airport, they can travel in transit. After landing in Mumbai, his security check went through very easily.
‘Great experience, couldn’t believe it’
During the layover, she remained at the international terminal, so she did not have to go through much immigration checking. “I sat comfortably in the lounge, ate food and all my tiredness went away,” she said.
Meanwhile, he received a WhatsApp call that there was something suspicious in his bag. But later it was revealed that the staff was just asking him to remove the power bank from his luggage. He said the airport staff was very kind and helpful. Wanzipa concluded, “My experience was great overall. I couldn’t believe I was in Mumbai. The entire staff was so nice and I had a wonderful time.”
