Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has had to face the consequences of assault by his disciple. He has been removed from the post of ambassador of King Charles’s British Asian Trust. Recently, a video of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had surfaced, in which he was seen beating a man badly and screaming at him in his house. After this video went viral, he had to lose the post of ambassador of British Asian Trust.
After the video of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan went viral, there was a lot of anger against him on social media. In the video, Rahat was also seen beating the man with shoes. After terminating the contract with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, the Trust said in its statement, “We oppose any kind of violence, no matter the circumstances.” The Trust told Geo News that their policy against incidents of assault is very strict.
When did you become ambassador?
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was appointed ambassador by the British Asian Trust in the year 2017. At that time Prince Charles himself had announced his name. Rahat Fatehi Ali Khan is one of the top singers of Pakistan. He has sung dozens of songs in India also, which are very much liked.

Rahat clarified
Seeing the controversy increasing after the video went viral, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan released a video on his social media handle and clarified the matter. The victim was also seen in the video, who described himself as a disciple of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Apart from him, the disciple’s father was also seen in the video. In the video, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had said that the bottle he was talking about did not contain liquor but contained pure water, which was given by some Maulana. Also, while giving clarification on the beating, he had said that it was a punishment for a mistake and this matter was between a teacher and a student.
