Lahore, August 20: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Wednesday that Pakistan will host an ODI tri-series. This tournament will take place from October 18 to October 31, featuring teams from Pakistan, England, and Sri Lanka.
The matches will be held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The final will be played on October 31 in Lahore. The series kicks off on October 18 with a match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi. Following that, Pakistan will face England on October 20 at the same venue, and Sri Lanka will compete on October 22.
Afterward, all three teams will move to Lahore, where Pakistan will take on England on October 25 and Sri Lanka on October 27. The sixth match between Sri Lanka and England is scheduled for October 29, with the top two teams clashing in the final on October 31 at Gaddafi Stadium. Previously, Pakistan hosted a tri-series just before the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, featuring New Zealand and South Africa.
The PCB has also announced a busy schedule of bilateral matches with Sri Lanka and England, with games taking place from October 9 to November 21. The Sri Lankan team will arrive on October 4 for a three-match T20 International series against Pakistan. These matches will be held in Rawalpindi on October 9, 11, and 13.
After the T20 series, England will come to Pakistan for the ODI tri-series, while Sri Lanka will play a three-day match in Islamabad from November 4 to 6. Following that, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will engage in a two-match Test series, part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27. The first Test will be played in Rawalpindi from November 9 to 13, and the second Test will take place in Lahore at Gaddafi Stadium from November 17 to 21. This series will mark Pakistan’s second Test series on home soil during the current WTC cycle, following South Africa’s visit for two Tests last October.
