Dr. Ashwath Kasliwal says that in case of tonsillitis, one should eat things like soup, lukewarm water, soft khichdi. Eat such things which are light so that it is easy to eat. Apart from this, one should keep drinking water. If your throat does not become dry due to this, you will feel less pain.

Experts say that if you have tonsillitis, it is very important to take rest. This helps the body to restore energy and is very important to fight infection. Apart from this, gargle with lukewarm salt water at least 2-3 times a day. This reduces swelling and also provides relief from pain.
