Many leaders including Mahmood Khan Achakzai stopped from entering PoJK

In a post shared on Twitter, the committee alleged that the same officials who earlier ‘banned us for demanding fundamental rights, branded us terrorists, carried out target killings and spilled rivers of blood’, are now being exposed for their dealings with mainstream political leaders. According to JKJAAC, the delegation led by Tehreek Tahaffuz Ain Pakistan chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai included former prime ministers Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Raja Nasir Abbas, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Salman Akram Raja and other opposition figures. The committee claimed that the convoy was stopped at Kotli and not allowed to proceed into PoJK.

‘Food supply was also stopped’

The committee also alleged that authorities have gone beyond imposing restrictions on political movement. It was claimed that food supplies had been disrupted and access to the area had been limited. The committee argued that these measures exposed the government’s attitude towards the people of PoJK.

‘Will not succumb to oppression’

Reiterating their position, JKJAAC said that their campaign is a peaceful movement focused on securing fundamental rights. The committee warned that they would not surrender despite continued harassment. “The movement of the people of PoJK is peaceful, but we will not succumb to any oppression,” the committee said. It also added that the decision to organize the protest was taken as part of a broader strategic campaign.

According to the statement, the ongoing protests are exposing the conduct of the authorities and their supporters to audiences in Pakistan and internationally. The committee urged supporters to remain steadfast and stressed that peaceful demonstrations would continue until their demands were met.
