Jaipur (Rajasthan) [भारत]July 21 (ANI): Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday attacked the BJP-led government, saying the opposition is fighting to save democracy. The Congress leader said that there is a lot of anger among the people regarding the policies of the government.

He said, “No one knows in which direction this country is going or will go because the NDA government has adopted such an approach that they do not react or make any statement on it. If the opposition parties raise any demand, they do not even pay attention to it… There is a lot of anger in the entire country… This is a fight to save democracy.”

Protest over NEET paper leak, Rahul-Priyanka in custody

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were taken into custody by Delhi Police on Tuesday. They were leading a protest near Lok Kalyan Marg, the official residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding accountability and resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case. Later the police released him.
