Oppo has expanded its K15 series in China with the launch of the Oppo K15s and Oppo K15x. Both smartphones focus heavily on battery life, fast charging and 5G connectivity rather than flagship-grade cameras.
The K15s sits higher in the lineup with an AMOLED display and an 8,000mAh battery, while the more affordable K15x features a larger LCD panel and a 6,500mAh battery.
The new phones join the K15 series below the K15 Pro models launched earlier this year. Oppo has not announced plans to launch either handset in India yet.
Oppo K15s, K15x Price and Availability
The Oppo K15s price starts at CNY 1,699 (around Rs. 24,300) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The 8GB + 256GB model costs CNY 1,999 (around Rs. 28,600). It is available in Shadow Grey and Wind Trail Purple colour options.
The Oppo K15x price starts at CNY 1,399 (around Rs. 20,000) for the 6GB + 128GB version, while the 6GB + 256GB variant costs CNY 1,699 (around Rs. 24,300). It comes in Glacier White and Prism Purple finishes.
Both smartphones are currently listed for the Chinese market. Oppo has not revealed an India launch date or global availability for the K15s and K15x.
Oppo K15s Specifications and Features
The Oppo K15s features a 6.57-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 2,372×1,080-pixel resolution. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate and up to 1,400 nits of peak global brightness.
Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 MAX chipset, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
For photography, the K15s gets a 50-megapixel autofocus rear camera with an f/1.9 aperture and an 8-megapixel front camera. The rear camera supports 1080p video recording at up to 60fps.
The biggest highlight is its 8,000mAh battery, supported by 45W SuperVOOC charging. The phone also gets an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth and multiple satellite navigation systems.
Oppo K15x Specifications and Features
The Oppo K15x sports a larger 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a 1,570×720-pixel resolution. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, with up to 1,125 nits of peak global brightness.
The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. Its camera setup includes a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The rear camera supports 1080p video recording at up to 60fps.
The K15x packs a 6,500mAh battery with 45W SuperVOOC charging. It also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack and uses a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint sensor. Other features include dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth and multiple satellite navigation systems.
With the K15s and K15x, Oppo is expanding its K15 range with two battery-focused smartphones aimed at buyers looking for long endurance and 5G connectivity at mid-range prices.
