This incident has come from Amravati, Maharashtra, where robbers looted the house of Naib Tehsildar in broad daylight.
In fact, in the Rathi area of Amravati city, these robbers entered the house of Naib Tehsildar’s wife at knifepoint and looted valuables worth more than Rs 5 lakh including gold and silver ornaments and fled away.
The entire action of these robbers was captured in CCTV cameras. The robbers entered the house after seeing the woman alone. These robbers took advantage of the opportunity, threatened the woman and committed the robbery at knife point.
Robbers disguised as census workers
In Rathi Nagar area, Naib Tehsildar Prashant Adsule’s wife was alone in the house. The robbers came to their house posing as census workers. He pretended to ask the woman for her name and details required for the census. The robbers said that we have come on behalf of the administration. Want to get some information for the census program being run by the government. He also asked for information related to other members of the household for the census. After taking all this information, the robbers suddenly brandished a knife and threatened the woman and looted the jewellery, cash and valuables worth more than Rs 5 lakh from the house.
Police busy to catch the robbers
While running away from the house after pushing the woman, both the thieves are clearly visible in the CCTV camera installed there. On receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and started investigation. Such an incident happening in the house of a government official is a serious matter for the police and administration. Police have registered a case in this matter under various sections. Separate police teams have been formed to catch both the thieves. Police said that the accused will be arrested soon.
