Accident happened on Dehradun-Panchkula highway
According to police officials, the accident took place on the Dehradun-Panchkula highway in Rampur Maniharan area of Saharanpur. It was told that for some reason the Tata Tiago car was going backwards on the highway. Meanwhile, the Bolero SUV coming from behind at high speed hit the rear of the car hard.

CCTV footage of the accident has also surfaced. It can be seen in the video that as soon as the Tata Tiago reverses, the Bolero coming from behind collides with it at high speed. The collision was so severe that the car first hit the road divider, then jumped and reached the other lane and also collided with the second divider present there. The car was completely damaged due to this horrific collision. At the same time, after the collision, the Bolero also went out of control and overturned.
Death of four people of the same family
In this tragic accident, Charan Singh, his wife Sudesh, daughter-in-law Preeti and grandson Shivansh lost their lives on the spot. All four were members of the same family. Meanwhile, Praveen, Sahdev and another person were injured in the accident. The identity of the third injured has not been made public at this time.
The family was going to Haridwar
According to the police, all the victims were residents of Bahadurgarh in Sonipat district of Haryana. The family was going to Haridwar. Meanwhile, his car met with an accident near Halgoya village of Rampur Maniharan police station area. After the accident, local people and passers-by immediately reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. On receiving the information, the police team also reached the spot. After this, with the help of 108 ambulance, all the injured and dead were taken to the district hospital.
Four people were declared dead in the hospital
On reaching the district hospital, doctors declared four members of the family dead. At the same time, treatment of the three injured is going on. According to doctors, the condition of the injured remains critical and they have been kept under constant medical observation.
Police started investigation
Police has started the investigation of the matter. The authorities have taken both the vehicles into their custody and legal action has also been initiated against the driver concerned. In the initial investigation, high speed and careless driving are considered to be the main reasons for the accident. Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem.
