Death on the spot, another life extinguished on the way to the hospital
According to the Valparai police officer, eight people died on the spot, including seven women and one man. The driver was rescued in a critical condition, but another injured person died at the Pollachi Government Hospital. Local administration and fire department teams carried out relief and rescue operations, pulled out the bodies from the ditch and immediately took the injured to the hospital.
