Dambulla: There was a huge brawl between India A and Sri Lanka A in a tri-series match. Sri Lanka won the match in the Super Over, but what happened after that on the field was completely against the spirit of the game. There was even a scuffle between India’s young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Sri Lankan players. Now the reason for this entire incident has come to light. It is learned that Vaibhav, who used to be calm, lost his cool due to the lewd sledging and taunts of the Sri Lankan players.
This entire drama happened during the match held at Rangiri Stadium in Dambulla. The score of both the teams in the match was equal. Sri Lanka needed two runs on the last ball to win, but they could only score 265 runs for 9 wickets. After this the match went into super over. Meanwhile, Sri Lankan players started criticizing Vaibhav and Shedge continuously. In the viral video on social media, it is clearly visible that the Sri Lankan players are chasing the Indian batsmen returning to the pavilion and provoking them. According to a report by news agency PTI, a Sri Lankan player teased Vaibhav, who plays for Rajasthan Royals, by saying, “This is not your IPL”. This very thing stung Vaibhav. Last year, in the Under-19 Asia Cup, Pakistani players had also used the same words against Vaibhav. Initially Vaibhav ignored these taunts, but when the Sri Lankan players started crossing the limits, his patience broke. He pushed a Sri Lankan player. Immediately after this, the rest of the players and umpires intervened and pacified the matter.
