Officers should improve themselves, otherwise they will improve… Minister Dilip Jaiswal bluntly in Bihar Assembly

Land survey work is currently going on in Bihar. Many complaints are being received regarding this. The officials are deliberately keeping the files pending. Employees are sitting idle on mutation, refinement and other revenue works in the entire state. Corruption is happening everywhere on a large scale. BJP state president and Bihar’s Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Dr. Dilip Jaiswal also said in response to a question in the winter session of the Assembly that corruption will not be tolerated under any circumstances. The officers should improve themselves otherwise they will be reformed.

Dilip Jaiswal said that the work of the Circle Officer is more about administrative work than revenue. He admitted that the work became pending due to Lok Sabha elections but now the government has issued letters to all COs, DCLRs, DMs and Commissioners. It is said that under any circumstances, whatever cases are pending, they should be settled as soon as possible. He claimed that the pending works will be completed in the next two to three months.

I do not lag behind in taking action

In response to another question, he said in the House, I am known as the Revenue Minister because I do not lag behind in taking action. Action has been taken against 180 officers of Bihar’s Circle Officer and their equivalent grade. Salaries of 149 COs have been stopped. The officers will either improve themselves or they will improve them.

don’t make me open my mouth now

Amidst the opposition’s objections, he said, now don’t make me open my mouth about who messed up the department. I don’t want to open my mouth. Every officer will work, otherwise action will be taken against them. He assured the opposition that the list of officials as to how many people we have trapped and arrested is quite long. It will be more than you want.

Amour MLA raised question

In the winter session of Bihar Assembly, Akhtarul Iman, MLA from Amour assembly seat of Purnia district, asked that today there is a war in the whole of Bihar due to land dispute. 15 to 20 thousand rupees are being charged from the poor people for each mutation. People’s land has disappeared from Register-2. The result is that if someone’s Kewala is not filed or rejected within 35 working days, the tenant has to go to the DCLR. Money has to be paid. There is a lot of delay in the matter of filing, rejection and revision. How many officers has the department taken action against so far? On hearing this, Dilip Jaiswal got enraged and replied.
