Akhilesh Meban, the director of Joy School, who made objectionable remarks about Lord Ram and Hindu community on social media in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, has been arrested from Kerala. The accused wrote abusive words like “Bloody Hindu Ram Ke Bastard Children” on his WhatsApp status, causing outrage in the city. After this status which hurt religious sentiments, several organizations including Hindu organizations, Sant Samaj and Congress submitted a memorandum to the police and demanded the arrest of the accused.
Jabalpur police had earlier reported that Meban was hiding in Bandhavgarh. After this, information was received that he escaped via Nagpur. The police had formed a dozen separate teams to catch the accused. Finally, after the location of the mobile phone was traced, the police approached the Kerala police and was arrested. Jabalpur police is now bringing the accused from Kerala to Jabalpur.
Hinduist organizations performed
There was an atmosphere of tension in the city regarding this matter. On the previous day, Hinduist organizations vandalized by performing strongly at Joy Senior Secondary School. The workers entered the school and along with breaking the board of the main gate, they also broke the glass of windows. The police reached the spot and took over the situation. Activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad described this act as a conspiracy to incite religious sentiments.
Arrest within 24 hours
A day earlier, Hinduist organizations also created a ruckus over allegations of conversion at Ranjhi police station. In front of the police, Christian community officials were assaulted. The comment erupted in Jabalpur and the saints of Hinduist organizations as well as the Saints of Youth Congress and Sanskardhani demanded arrest, as well as the saints also warned that if Akhilesh Meban was not arrested within 24 hours, the saints will move on the roads across the country and agitate.
