The Union Home Ministry (MHA) has deployed NSG commandos in Jammu city. This force will now remain permanently in Jammu. This task force has been formed to deal with any major situation. The Home Ministry has taken this step in view of the recent terrorist attacks on security forces in Jammu region and possible threat to the city.
Earlier, when the need was felt to call NSG to eliminate terrorists, NSG commandos had to be called by air from New Delhi or Chandigarh, which took a lot of time. However, now NSG commandos will be easily available in Jammu city.
The deployment of NSG commandos has been prepared by the Jammu and Kashmir Police for Jammu and Kashmir. This is part of the anti-terrorism plan, especially for high-rise buildings, security establishments and public places of sensitive nature, if any kind of terrorist attack occurs, this team will be fully active.
