The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has approved the divestment of up to a 40 per cent stake in its wholly-owned subsidiary, National Coal Exchange of India Limited, through a secondary sale of equity shares.
The decision was taken at the company’s board meeting on Tuesday, November 3, where directors approved the sale of the stake in one or more tranches. Following the proposed divestment, NSE will dilute a portion of its ownership in the subsidiary, which is currently fully owned by the exchange.
