A student of Amity University in Noida, Uttar Pradesh committed suicide by hanging himself. He committed this incident late at night in the hostel room. The student’s death came to light in the morning when his classmates knocked on his door. But the student did not open the door. Then he informed the hostel warden about this. After which the door of the room was broken. Saw that the student was hanging from the noose.
Police immediately reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. According to a news agency, the deceased student has been identified as 20-year-old Hrithik Burman. He was a resident of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He was studying B.Tech in Amity University. He was a second year B.Tech student. When the family members were informed about this, they started crying bitterly.
Hrithik’s parents told that their son was suffering from mental stress for some time. He was told about this at home also. The family members said that they did not know that their son would take such a step. He felt that it was just the tension of studies, which would go away later.
At present, the police of Noida Sector-126 have registered a case of suicide. Investigation is going on in the matter. Police station Sector-126 in-charge Pramod Kumar said that the post-mortem of the body has been done and it has been handed over to the family members. The matter is of suicide. However, no suicide note has been recovered from the deceased. Still this matter is being investigated from every angle.
Three people committed suicide
Police spokesperson said that apart from this, three people including two women allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves due to mental stress last night in different police station areas of the district. He said that the deceased in these incidents have been identified as 21-year-old married woman Varsha, living in Police Station Dadri area, 22-year-old Miraj, living in Police Station Phase-3 area and 25-year-old Kumari Jyoti, living in Sector-58. Investigation is being done in those cases also.
