This also provides nutrition to the plants and there is no hassle of going to extra market, and will also save money.
After planting plants or seeds, it is important that you irrigate them properly for their growth. Keep fertilizing the soil from time to time so that its fertility remains and use of pesticides is also necessary to protect against pests. There is strong sunlight in summer so keeping the plants green is a task. In such a situation, know those 5 retro gardening hacks which will keep your garden green.
Organic Seeds Tray
To plant the seeds, a seed tray is required so that they germinate well. For this, don’t you also use a plastic tray and then take out plants from it and plant them in pots? Old technology is much better than this. The egg tray that comes in your house can be useful for you in this. Apart from this, keep egg shells also. Just keep in mind that these should not be completely broken. Set these egg shells in its tray. Then fill the egg shells with soil. Plant seeds in it. When the plants start emerging, place the tray directly in the beds and add soil. With this your plants will grow very well because they will get nutrition. You can spread a layer in the soil by grinding egg shells. It also protects from insects and fungus.
Coffee grounds in gardening
You can use coffee grounds (powder left after making coffee) in gardening. This provides nutrients like calcium, phosphorus, nitrogen, magnesium to the soil. This improves the growth of plants. You just mix it in limited quantity. It should be only 20 percent of the soil, otherwise the pH of the soil may be affected.

use of coconut peels
If you throw away coconut peels then do not make this mistake. These will be useful in mulching. The soil dries up very quickly during summer. In such a situation, spread coconut shells in the pot like a mattress. These will retain moisture throughout the day. This will not cause your plants to wither. Apart from this, separate these coconut peels thoroughly and cut them into small pieces and then put them in a grinder and grind them. Your coco peat will be ready. Mix it in the soil. Actually, coco peat also provides nutrition to the plants and it does not allow water to accumulate in the soil.
Kitchen waste is not garbage
Instead of buying fertilizer from the market, it is better to prepare it at home. The old and best method for this is kitchen waste which is not garbage but is considered a boon for plants. There are two ways to do this: Take a jar and put the peels of fruits and vegetables in it. Along with this, add water in it and then keep it closed. Liquid fertilizer will be ready in a few days. You put it in the plants. Throw away the remaining peels. Apart from this, bury the peels of fruits and vegetables in a pit in your garden. After at least one month they will completely dissolve in the soil. This will be ready as your fertilizer. If you don’t have space, you can make compost in this way even in a big pot. Prepare it in the same way – layer of soil, then peels and then layer of soil.
use newspaper
If you have old papers or newspapers lying around in your house, use them in gardening instead of throwing them in the trash. This is an old hack to prevent weeds from growing between plants and also works as mulching. For this, spread 4 to 6 layers of newspaper in the beds or pots and pour some water on top so that it becomes moist and sticks. Along with this, spread compost and dry leaves also.
