Niwai assembly seat of Tonk district of Rajasthan is a SC reserved seat. So far, BJP has won this seat 3 times and Congress 4 times. This time, BJP candidate Ramshay Verma is contesting against Congress’s Prashant Bairwa. In the initial trends, BJP candidate Ram Sahay Verma is leading by 328 votes. Prashant Bairwa had won from this seat in the 2018 assembly elections also. In such a situation, this time again Congress has expressed confidence in him.
Even in the last assembly elections, Ramsahay Verma and Prashant Bairwa were face to face. Prashant Bairwa got a total of 105,784 votes. Whereas Ramsahay Verma had got 61,895 votes and he had to face defeat by 43,889 votes. Bairavaa is considered to have a good hold on this seat. Voting was held for Niwai assembly seat on 25 November.

How is political history?
BJP had won this seat in the 1990 assembly elections. Whereas in 1993, Congress won from here. In 2003, Hiralal became MLA from here on BJP ticket. In 2008, this seat went to Congress and in 2013, Hiralal again reached the Assembly from here. No party has won this seat continuously.
The total number of voters here is more than 2 lakh 40 thousand. The number of male voters is approximately 1,25,806 and the number of female voters is approximately 1,14,904. In the last assembly elections, a total of 72.3 percent voting took place here. At the same time, 2,253 people had also chosen NOTA. Apart from BJP and Congress, no other party has any chance on this seat. BJP and Congress have been getting victory from here one by one.
