When is Nirjala Ekadashi 2026?
According to Astrologer Pt. Nalin Sharma of Ujjain, any fast is always observed keeping in mind the Udaya Tithi. Since the sunrise of Ekadashi date will be on 25th June, Thursday, hence Nirjala Ekadashi fast will be observed on this fast. Since Ekadashi falls on Thursday, its importance will be considered even greater. On this day, 4 auspicious yogas named Shiva, Siddha, Susthir and Vardhaman will also be formed.
Why is it called Nirjala Ekadashi?
In Sanatan Dharma, Nirjala Ekadashi is considered to be the best and fruitful among all the 24 Ekadashis.
