Nirjala Ekadashi fast-worship method
– A day before Nirjala Ekadashi, on Wednesday night, June 24, eat satvik food, sleep on a mat spread on the floor and follow celibacy. On Thursday, June 25, wake up early in the morning, take a bath and take a pledge to fast with water, rice and flowers in your hand.
– Follow the rules of fasting throughout the day. Make complete preparations for the puja before the auspicious time. Purify the place of worship by sprinkling cow urine. During auspicious time, place a wooden post at this place and install the statue or picture of Lord Vishnu on it.
– Apply tilak on the idol of God, garland it with flowers and light a lamp of pure ghee. Keep offering Abeer, Gulal, Roli, coconut, yellow flowers, fruits, Durva, betel nuts, yellow clothes, turmeric and sandalwood etc. to Lord Vishnu one by one.
– Keep chanting the mantra Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay Namah during the puja. After this, offer sweets and fruits to Lord Vishnu. Don’t forget to add basil leaves in the offering. Listen to the story of Nirjala Ekadashi fast and perform the aarti of Lord Vishnu.
