Television actress Nia Sharma has opened up about the contrast between her glamorous social media posts and the more unfiltered reality of her everyday, makeup-free life.
Nia shared a video on Instagram in which she appeared dressed in a turquoise-blue saree, seemingly from a show set. Reflecting on her appearance away from the camera, the actress spoke candidly about dark circles, untidy hair, feeling bloated and even debating whether to take a shower.
“Tripping on your own looks while sitting idle in bed, looking homeless, living a makeup free life, making peace with your dark circles, hair tied in a ponytail, thinking about taking a shower or dropping it,” Nia wrote in her caption.
She also joked about eating freely and then looking at her waist, while acknowledging the stark difference between her appearance in carefully curated Instagram videos and her everyday self.
“The IG videos we post and how we’re looking at the moment are two extremes, gets hard to deal with your own self,” she wrote, adding that she might simply be bored and need to “get in my element again.”
Nia was recently seen in the 16th season of “Splitsvilla”, hosted by Sunny Leone and Karan Kundrra. The dating reality show features contestants competing in challenges while forming relationships, with a winning couple eventually crowned.
She also appeared in the latest edition of “Laughter Chefs Fun Unlimited”.
Nia is known for television shows including “Behenein”, “Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai”, “Meri Durga” and “Kaali – Ek Agnipariksha”. She also participated in “Khatron Ke Khiladi: Made in India” in 2020 and emerged as the winner.
Her other work includes the web series “Twisted” and “Jamai 2.0”.
