Electric is the future of mobility
During this discussion, Shubhranshu Singh said that according to the way technology and industry are moving, the future of mobility in the near future is electric. An ecosystem has started forming regarding this. While Santosh Iyer of Mercedes Benz took the same point further and said that right now the future belongs to electricity, although nothing can be said yet about what the future will be.
Shubhranshu says that Tata Motors is already the market leader in this sector in India. Whereas India has focused well on electric mobility in terms of fleet, delivery, last mile logistics and public transport. He also mentioned about the challenge related to this that it will take time for people to shift rapidly.
He added that now the confidence in electric motors is increasing among the customers because they have started feeling that they have some contribution in improving the environment.
Is driverless car possible with AI?
Will AI make driverless cars a reality in the future? Hagen Rodowski answered this question. He said this is quite possible. But currently companies avoid this only because mixed traffic is seen on the roads all over the world. On the issue of reducing the cost of vehicles, Devashish Bisoi said that there are many aspects to reduce the cost. Safety, time and technology play an important role in this. In such a situation, cost cannot be reduced by reducing any one of these factors.
India needs to focus on battery research

For this, he mentioned the significant increase in the capitalization of America’s stock market. Not only this, from the perspective of India, he said that there is a need to focus a lot on research and development here.
He said that today apart from Aadhaar and UPI, there is no Indian product which is suitable for international use. Therefore, startups in India need to focus on research. He said that right now we are at the very starting point of sodium ion batteries. In such a situation, Indian companies can make a big contribution to the future here.
