The demand for mid-size SUVs is increasing rapidly in the Indian auto market. Strengthening the competition in this segment, Nissan has introduced its new SUV Nissan Tekton. Coming with attractive design, turbo petrol engine, modern features and 5-star safety rating, this SUV is preparing to directly challenge popular vehicles like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Renault Duster. The company has launched it in many variants keeping in mind the customers of different budgets.
Price starts from ₹ 10.49 lakh, SUV will be available in many variants
Nissan Tekton The starting ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 10.49 lakh. Its base Visia variant is available for Rs 10.49 lakh, while Visia+ is priced at Rs 11.14 lakh and Acenta variant is priced at Rs 11.79 lakh. Apart from this, Connecta variant will be available at ex-showroom price of Rs 13.69 lakh, Tekna at Rs 15.39 lakh and top model Tekna+ at Rs 16.49 lakh. There will be differences in different variants based on features and transmission options.

Two turbo petrol engines, premium design and modern features
The new Nissan Tekton has been given a large front grille, LED headlights, muscular body and wide stance to give it a strong and premium SUV look. Its interior offers facilities like large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, connected car technology and comfortable cabin. Talking about the engine, it has a 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine, which gives a power of about 100 horsepower and comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The second 1.3 liter turbo petrol engine generates around 163 horsepower and 280Nm torque. The option of 6-speed manual and DCT automatic transmission is available with this engine.
Challenges Creta-Seltos with 5-star safety rating
Nissan Tekton has also been presented as a strong package in terms of safety. It has been provided with modern features like multiple airbags, 360-degree camera, parking sensor and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). The biggest thing is that this SUV has been claimed to get a 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP (BNCAP) crash test, due to which it can be included among the safe SUVs in its segment.
