However, TMC has clarified on this and said that Arup Biswas is no longer the treasurer of the party. The party says that a new treasurer has been appointed in the meeting held on the 5th of this month. Let us tell you that Arup Biswas is the same minister who, while being the Sports Minister, was embroiled in controversies by bringing Messi to Kolkata. Recently, when he had reached the court, the lawyers also threw eggs at him.

Amidst the ongoing internal feuds and crisis in the party, Trinamool Congress has made a major reshuffle in the organization. Major changes have been made in many wings and local units of the party. Youth leader Arnab Banerjee has been made the state Trinamool Youth Congress president, while Kunal Ghosh has been appointed president of the North Kolkata organizational district. These new decisions were approved in the party’s National Working Committee meeting. Apart from this, Mossarraf Hossain has been elected as the Chairman of the Minority Cell and Alifa Ahmed as the Chairman of the Women’s Wing.
