There has been a lot of discussion about this SUV for the last few days and its spy shots have also been revealed many times. Customers are very excited about this upcoming Hyundai SUV. Meanwhile, recently some more pictures of it have been leaked, which has further increased the excitement of the customers. These spy shots have been taken from Korea, in which Bayon’s new alloy wheel design can be clearly seen.
Will be slightly longer than i20
In the recently revealed spy pictures, this SUV is seen parked in a basement like place. These pictures show the front and rear three-quarter angles of the car, which clearly reveals the actual shape of the SUV. When launched, the Bayon will be positioned between the Venue and Creta. The leaked pictures show that it will be around four meters long, which means it will be slightly longer than the i20. The Bayon sold in the global market has always been based on the i20. Many parts are similar in both the vehicles. The same can be seen in the upcoming Bayon, which means components from the next generation i20 can be included in it. The second generation Bayon is codenamed ‘BC4i’. It is expected that the company will launch it in India by the end of this year.
Powertrain Options
The Bayon to be launched in India will also have front parking sensors and a 360-degree camera. Hyundai is also developing a new petrol engine, which will be a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine. It will also be available in hybrid model. However, information about the power and torque of this engine has not been revealed yet. The Bayon will be offered with a new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine as well as a smaller 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The turbo-petrol version of the new engine will come with manual and DCT transmission, while its hybrid version will be available with e-CVT transmission. According to reports, the upcoming Bayon will compete with cars like Maruti Suzuki Alto 800, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
Strong road presence
It is clear from the recent pictures that its overall design is now more SUV-like, which is different from the crossover-like look of the previous generation. Its design is boxy and its presence on the road looks strong. The new spy photos show the Bayon with new alloy wheels. Earlier, the car had different types of wheels. The look of the new wheels is quite modern. Some parts of the front and rear lighting of the car are also visible in the spy shots. At the rear, it is expected to get connected LED tail lamps, which will be clear-lens units.
