New OTT Releases This Week (August 3 To 7, 2026): Ted Lasso, Operation Safed Sagar, Vadhandhi On Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV And More

August is opening with a bang as several new series and films are releasing in the first week. Amazon Prime Video continues to invest in YA stories, with the new series Sterling Point releasing on August 5. Ella Rubin plays a New York City teen who visits a Canadian island that she inherits after her grandfather’s death and discovers some hidden family secrets. Also out on the same day is the second part of Netflix’s Spanish series One Hundred Years of Solitude. The love triangle between Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez), Cole (Noah LaLonde) and Alex (Ashby Gentry) intensifies in Netflix’s My Life with the Walter Boys Season 3, releasing on August 6.

Meanwhile, on August 7, Louis Leterrier’s sci-fi thriller The Last House features Greta Lee and Wagner Moura as a family who find them sealed in by their home and must find an escape route. Comedian Ricky Gervais brings out a new animated series, Alley Cats, on Netflix, while The Big Bang Theory’s   searches for her missing boyfriend (Sam Claflin) in the Lionsgate Play limited series Vanished. The season finale of Apple TV’s  , starring Colin Farrell, also promises to have a shocking reveal on August 7. There are a number of OTT debuts on August 7, with the Oscar-winning film Hamnet, starring Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal, releasing on Lionsgate Play; the animated sequel The Super Mario Galaxy Movie on JioHotstar; and Governor: The Silent Saviour, starring Manoj Bajpayee, on Amazon Prime Video. Will Moosa be able to uncover the truth in his murder investigation?
